Education Objectives of the Programme :
Educate and develop reflective professionals committed to servicing the forestry community and the public with a strong emphasis on stewardship, life-long learning and service through creating and environment that integrates research, education and practice.
 
Learning Outcomes of the Programme :
Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to :
OP-1: Have the basic knowledge in mathematics, science and forestry; and have the ability to use the practical and theoretical knowledge gained to model and solve engineering problems
OP-2: Abilitiy to identify, define, formulate and solve complex engineering problems; and select and implement relevant analysis and modelling approaches
OP-3: Ability to design, implement and control complex forest ecosystem processes under real constraints and conditions; and in this regard have the ability to implement modern design techniques
OP-4: Have the ability to design and conduct experiments, collect and analyse data, and discuss the results in forestry related problems
OP-5: Have the necessary skills and ability to select, develop and use modern techniques and devices, and have the ablity to use information technologies efficiently
OP-6: Understand and comprehend forest ecosystems (soils, nitrogen dynamics, hydrology, watershed basins, biodiversity), identify and map ecological, economic and social values of forests, and have the ability to sustainably manage forests for multiple use
OP-7: Have the ability to work individually and within a multi-disciplinary team
OP-8: Have effective communication skills in Turkish and acceptable communication skills in at least one foreign language
OP-9: Have the knowledge on risk and project management in a changing work environment; and effective communication skills, analytical thinking and high level of awareness concerning entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable development
OP-10: Have the ability of forest stewardship and ethical responsibilities
OP-11: Recognize and understand the effect of forestry applications on publich health and environmental safety, and understand legal consequences of engineering solutions
OP-12: Gain the perspectives of Life-long learning
