The aim of the course:
The course aims to provide the students with applied knowledge on principles of forest logging operations and transport planning and aimed to gain ability of prepearing annual forest transportation plan according to making related assesment.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : describe principles and methods of felling, primary transport, processing and loading timber for maximum utilization, efficiency and minimum environmental impact1,2,3,4,6,8,9,10,121,5,6

Contents of the Course
Analysis of interactions between transport techniques and road systems. Advanced topics in road and landing spacing, determination of road standards, analysis of logging techniques and transpot vehicles. Cost and productivty of transport machines. Annual resource scheduling and logging/transportation planning. Technical, economic and environmental aspects of forest transportation methods.
