The aim of the course:
The aim of the course is to teach the basic mathematical techniques, introducing at the same time a number of mathematical skills which can be used for the analysis of problems. The emphasis is on the practical usability of mathematics; this goal is mainly pursued via a large variety of examples and applications from these disciplines.

Real Numbers, Exponential and Root Expressions, Absolute Value, Simple Inequalities, Concept of Function, Definition Sets and Graphs of Basic Functions, Shifting Graphs of Basic Functions, Trigonometric Functions, Exponential and Logarithmic Functions, Limit, Continuity, Derivative Definition, Derivation Rules, Trigonometric Definition , Exponential and Logarithmic Function Derivatives, Higher Order Derivatives, Chain Rule, Implicit Function Derivative, Geometric Interpretation of Derivative, Maximum and Minimum, Application of Derivative to Limits (L'Hospital Rule), Asymptotics of Functions, Drawing of Graphs of Variations of Functions.
