Introduction of basic building materials and main building elements used in fisheries and aquaculture. Physical properties of materials, chemical compounds and atomic bond structures. Indetifying the mechanical properties of materials and their measuring methods. Crystal structures and crystal geometry, Examination of crystal structures, Crystal defects, Material testing; tensile test and stres-strain diagram, Hardness and hardness testing, Fracture of metals, Fatigue of metals, Creep and stres rupture of metals, Introduction of phase diagrams. Cold deformation. Heat treatments after cold deformation, hot deformation. Structure-property relationships in metal, ceramic, polymer and composite materials. Methods of identification and protection of corrosion types. |
