Education Objectives of the Programme : |

The basic aim of the Mathematics Teacher Education is to provide basic information, skill, behaviour and habits which are necessary for teacher of mathematics. |

Learning Outcomes of the Programme : |

Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
OP-1: | have enough content area knowledge about their main field. | |
OP-2: | have enough knowledge about the sub fields (Science, Physics etc) | |
OP-3: | have pedagogical knowledge about teacher profession and their field. | |
OP-4: | have knowledge of foreign language as much as they can follow the foreign resources related to their field. | |
OP-5: | have ability to use Information and Communication Technologies effectively in mathematics teaching. | |
OP-6: | know elementary second level students development properties and learning styles; do effective planning, material development and applications proper to these features. | |
OP-7: | know enough knowledge about the structure of Turkish Education System and its historical development. | |
OP-8: | will become a teacher who is devoted to Atatürks principles and Turkish revolution; believe democracy, being aware of the Turkish national, moral, ethical and cultural values and sensitive to these in occupation. | |
OP-9: | have scientific and analytical thinking abilities, know scientific research methods and techniques and use them in-class applications. | |
OP-10: | know the relations among Mathematics-Society- Environment-History and utilize them in their daily and professional life. | |
OP-11: | have general culture about the fields such as history, geography, civilization, environment, technology etc. in order to accomplish interdisciplinary work and associate the course with other disciplines. | |
OP-12: | have the ability of using Turkish appropriate to the rules and effectively; establishing productive communication with students and colleagues. | |
OP-13: | have general knowledge about students who need special care. | |
OP-14: | They know and apply contemporary teaching methods and techniques, assessment and evaluation methods. | |
OP-15: | know the basic learning fields and objectives of the mathematics curriculum. | |
OP-16: | establish descent communication with his/her students and colleagues. | |
OP-17: | have the skills of mathematical communication, problem solving, reasoning and relating. | |
