Education Objectives of the Programme : |

The basic aim of the Preschool Education Programme is to provide basic information, skill, behaviour and habits which are necessary for teacher of Preschool Foundation. |

Learning Outcomes of the Programme : |

Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
OP-1: | acquire necessary content knowledge of development of 0-6 year-old children. | |
OP-2: | understand and use variety of teaching methods and techniques regarding learning and teaching process and prepare proper learning settings by benefiting from teaching aims in order to enhance educational process. | |
OP-3: | have sufficient level of general culture in order to promote children's development; have adequate level of research knowledge and foreign language in order to follow the developments in his/her field. | |
OP-4: | acquire the skills to monitor children?s learning, and evaluate and record children?s development and learning in educational settings; use different ways to reach information effectively in life long learning process. | |
OP-5: | understand the objectives aimed to be acquired through first grade curriculum and plan classroom activities according to these objectives. | |
OP-6: | secure physical, cognitive, social and emotional development of pre-chool children; understand the developmental characteristics, and learning patterns of individuals; plan and implement effectively in accordance with these features. | |
OP-7: | understand the aims and principles of early childhood education teaching, and gain sufficiencies according to these principles; understand the structure of Turkish Education System; act according to democratic and universal human rights; set a good role model to the society through his/her attitudes and behaviors. | |
OP-8: | understand the importance of school-family-child interaction; comprehend the activities for family participation. | |
OP-9: | have communication skills to establish healthy communication with students and colleagues; use Turkish language fluently and properly. | |
OP-10: | identify early childhood education institutions and their features; have essential skills and characteristics to be an early childhood education teacher complying with Atatürk?s principles and revolutions. | |
OP-11: | take responsilbility in individual and team works, and complete her/his part successfully. | |
OP-12: | take responsibility as an individual and team member to solve complex problems that are encountered and unpredicted. | |
OP-13: | they will become a teacher who is devoted to Atatürks principles and Turkish revolution; believe democracy, being aware of the Turkish national, moral, ethical and cultural values and sensitive to these in occupation. | |
