| The MA program of the department aims at providing its students with a broad knowledge in all fields Turkish history, developing ability to use and evaluate historical knowledge. |

| Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
| OP-1: | Have the ability to use basic professional and social sciences knowledge in advanced level |

| OP-2: | Apply gained knowledge in historical research and analyze and interpret results of research |

| OP-3: | Identify the needs to be able to research any kinds of research regarding historical periods |

| OP-4: | Setup interdisciplinary approach to reach a historical research |

| OP-5: | Identify, plan and evaluate historical events in advanced level |

| OP-6: | Show due professional and ethical responsibility at times of identification, searching, writing and evaluating of historical research |

| OP-7: | Work on his own or in multidisciplinary groups and achieve an effective communication in such group activities |

| OP-8: | Be aware of the global and social effects of results of any historical events identified in historical research |

| OP-9: | Understand the necessity for life-long learning, and use the methods to keep up to date on historical knowledge obtained |
