The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is to provide students with general knowledge of ecology, highlighting the causes and consequences of changes in ecosystems today, and to demonstrate what can be done to protect natural systems and minimize their degradation in planning and design studies.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : They understand the relationship between ecology and green spaces in the planning and development processes of cities from the past to the present.61,3,

Contents of the Course
Key factors defining ecological structure, fundamental goals in ecological planning and design, holistic, participatory and ecological urban design and planning, green space systems in planning, use of environmentally friendly technologies, ecological transportation solutions, eco-cities, vertical and rooftop gardens, rain gardens, transformation and rehabilitation efforts in urban areas.
