| This course comprehensively addresses the project, planning, and field implementation dimensions of the landscape design process. The course covers technical drawing and project types such as hard and soft ground projects, irrigation and infrastructure systems, and lighting projects and sections. Furthermore, application processes such as leveling, application, and land shaping, as well as the transfer of plant design to the field, plant selection, planting, and sowing techniques are discussed in detail. In addition, technical topics such as the design and implementation phases of irrigation and drainage systems, and the field application of lighting projects are covered. In terms of project management, the course covers the responsibilities of the client and contractor, and the processes of preparing tender documents and bids. In the later weeks of the semester, real-world landscape projects are examined to connect theoretical knowledge with practice; thus, the aim is for students to understand the landscape design process from beginning to end. |
