To develop the ability to correctly analyze and interpret cultural codes, stylistic nuances, figures of speech, and the author's voice embedded in literary texts.
To ensure students acquire translation skills that maintain aesthetic and semantic equivalence in the target language by understanding the constraints required by different literary genres such as novels, short stories, poetry, and drama.
To impart the competence to consciously use appropriate translation strategies in resolving cultural and linguistic problems encountered during the literary translation process. |
