It is designed to help students understand how to identify and formulate research topics and questions, review the relevant literature, and select appropriate research designs and methodologies. The course also focuses on familiarizing students with data collection instruments, quantitative and qualitative analysis processes, and the ethical standards required in research. By the end of the course, students will be able to design, write, and present a coherent and academically sound research proposal in the field of English Language Teaching (ELT). |

| This course provides an overview of the entire research process in the social sciences with a focus on English Language Teaching (ELT). The course begins with an introduction to the scope and purpose of research, followed by sessions on understanding research papers, research ethics, and plagiarism. Students will learn how to identify research topics and formulate research questions, review the existing literature, and explore various research designs and methodologies. The course covers quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches, along with data collection tools and analysis techniques. In the final weeks, students will revise, finalize, and present their own research proposals, demonstrating their understanding of the research process from start to finish. |
