The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is to raise students' awareness regarding structural and cultural differences they may encounter when translating in the Turkish-English language pair. The goal is to ensure the integration of technological tools and AI-assisted methods into the translation process. Additionally, it aims to enable students to produce solutions to translation problems with target-oriented approaches, explain their choices within a theoretical framework, and develop their collaborative working skills.

Contents of the Course
This course involves a continuation of the core competencies acquired in Advanced Translation I and focuses on the process of translating Turkish source texts into English. The course covers supporting translation competence with technology and artificial intelligence. Emphasis is placed on how to address language uses, cultural elements, and discourse forms specific to different fields in the target language. The translation process is treated not merely as a linguistic transfer but as a holistic process involving technology-human collaboration. Students are expected to justify their responsible translation decisions, post-edit machine translation outputs, and question the functionality of the produced texts.
