The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is to familiarize students with drama techniques used in language teaching contexts, provide a foundational introduction to the implementation of drama activities in foreign language teaching, support students in designing engaging lesson plans using these techniques, and equip them with a conceptual framework of drama in language education through verbal and non-verbal activities such as improvisation, hot seating, frozen image, mime, and storytelling.

Contents of the Course
This course covers the definition and historical development of drama in education, the fundamental characteristics of drama, the benefits and potential challenges of using drama in educational settings, the structuring of drama activities, techniques used in drama, designing lessons through creative drama, and assessment and evaluation methods in drama; and it is supported by a midterm and a final exam throughout the semester.
