This course is about the modern Chinese, Japanese and Korean histories with a special emphasis on the modern Japanese history after the Meiji Restoration. The study of the Chinese (post 1911 revolution) and Korean (post Japanese occupation in 1910) histories is limited to political aspects while the modern Japanese history is examined in political, social, cultural and economic themes. |
