The aim of the course:
This course aims at familiarizing students with drama techniques in language teaching contexts. It is designed to provide an introduction to practical uses of drama activities in language teaching. At the end of the course, learners are expected to use basic drama techniques, create lesson plans which include drama activities and make their lessons more engaging. The course will cover a conceptual framework of drama in language education and the principal techniques of drama such as improvisations, hot-seating, verbal and nonverbal activities, still images (tableaux), mime, story-telling, etc. The course is recommended for all students planning to teach English as well as the ones who desire to experiment during their journey of teaching.
