This course initially focuses on some basic concepts about writing such as process writing, editing, drafting and revising essays. Then it aims to teach the main subtleties of writing five- paragraph essays and types of texts such as classification, comparison and cause- effect essays. It also aims to dwell on the basics of punctuation rules and ways to improve the expression. Text coherence and cohesion, formulating thesis statements and topic sentences are among topics to be covered. Text types that will be useful for student's future career goals are also going to be practiced such as cover letters and a CVs (Curriculum Vitae), |
