It aims at helping students to appreciate the significant role of a YL teacher and highlight the teaching skills necessary in pre-primary and lower primary education. During the course, the trainees will be provided with sufficient background information concerning child development and the implications for a variety of approaches and techniques suitable for young learners. They will also learn about the place of FL instruction in early education in Turkey. They will also learn how to plan lessons for different age groups and how to manage English classes at pre-primary and lower primary levels. |

This course aims to teach practical and age-appropriate methods and useful techniques for teaching children English in EFL settings.
Addressing the theoretical and practical dimensions of teaching a foreign language to children aged 6-12;
the role of hereditary ability and environmental influences; acquisition of morphological, syntax, and semantic structures at an early age; convenience, format, attractiveness, contribution to effective learning,
Topics such as classroom management, individual differences, learning differences, speaking, writing activities, strategies to follow against mistakes.
