Education Objectives of the Programme : |

Aim of the Department of Interior Architecture is to train the young candidates, fully equipped with knowledge, to contribute to the creation of a better environment for human beings. In changing and developing design world, responsibilities of interior architects cover a wide range of duties, including spatial analysis; design decisions; project preparation; material selection and detailing; modeling; presentation; production; and application issues. Interior architects also deal with colour, texture, natural and artificial light, sound, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, furniture, and the like. An integrated approach is applied at the department in collaboration with the departments such as, Restoration, History of the Architecture, Construction, and Building. |

OP-7: | To be able to question the appropriateness by developing design set-ups and solutions at different scales within the scope of the discipline of Interior Architecture | |
OP-8: | To gain ability to produce details for the designed product and select suitable materials and furniture | |
OP-9: | To gain ability to take design decisions to ensure physical comfort (visual, auditory and thermal) conditions | |
OP-10: | To be able to choose and use computer programs, tools, techniques and technologies effectively in the design and communication stages | |
OP-11: | To be able to transfer the knowledge about the area and the design thought produced to the target group with visual, verbal, literary and 2 - 3 dimensional architectural expression techniques. | |
OP-12: | Gaining the ability to work harmoniously and effectively alone/as a team, to empathize, to manage time and stress, to take responsibility and to manage the process | |
OP-13: | Being able to take ethical responsibility and adopt self-development as a principle by having the necessary knowledge about the existing principles, laws, regulations and standards related to Interior Architecture. | |
OP-14: | To be able to make conscious decisions and gain proficiency of conducting a project by showing the necessary sensitivity in the protection of the natural environment and cultural heritage, respecting social and cultural values in the human-environment relationship. | |
