| For the teaching of the past, there is no doubt that both sciences are needed. When the history and social studies curriculum in Turkey is analyzed, the significance of the archaeological place in a concrete way görülmektedir.b is noteworthy that despite the failure to create enough agenda of archeology in Turkey. However, the new training program in Turkey is organized according to constructivist learning approach. The constructivist approach gives individuals the opportunity to learn more about their understanding of the past. It recommends that each individual work as a historian or archaeologist. Experimental archeology is one of these teaching methods. Nevertheless, it said that utilized sufficiently archeology in Turkey. |

| Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
| OP-1: | Recognizes the history, archaeological development, and cultural interactions of the cultures in Anatolia and its surrounding regions from the Paleolithic Age onwards. |

| OP-2: | Understands and effectively uses fundamental concepts, theories, and terminology in the field of archaeology. |
|
| OP-3: | Conducts systematic research on archaeological findings, depictions, and documents; evaluates, classifies, compares, and presents them using appropriate cataloging methods. |

| OP-4: | Identifies the spoken and written languages used in Anatolia and neighboring cultural regions and effectively utilizes Turkish and foreign sources in archaeological studies. |

| OP-5: | Collects data systematically during fieldwork such as excavations and surface surveys; applies documentation techniques and performs technical drawings and evaluations of findings. |

| OP-6: | Recognizes archaeological issues and conducts interdisciplinary research in collaboration with social sciences (e.g., history, literature, art history, law, sociology), integrating this knowledge into archaeological investigations. |

| OP-7: | Possesses knowledge of contemporary museology practices and conservation techniques related to the preservation, restoration, and exhibition of archaeological artifacts and remains. |

| OP-8: | Carries out independent research individually or collaboratively; actively participates in intra- and interdisciplinary team projects, taking on responsibilities when required. |

| OP-9: | Adheres to ethical principles in archaeological research and practices, acting with an awareness of cultural heritage as the shared legacy of humanity. |

| OP-10: | Utilizes effective communication techniques to share, promote, and protect archaeological findings and research with the public, contributing to the dissemination of archaeological heritage within society. |
