To train a doctor of science in Medical Biochemistry, who has the advanced theoretical and practical knowledge; who is able to carry out academic studies independently and/or the joint studies with different fields; who able to follow current issues; who has the capability to use and train advanced laboratory knowledge about laboratory safety, biochemical methods, information technologies, technical equipment and field-specific devices and instruments. |

Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
OP-1: | Based on the qualifications gained in his graduate education, develops and deepens the current and advanced knowledge in the field of Medical Biochemistry by original thought and/or research at the level of expertise and reaches the original definitions that will bring innovation to the his field. | |
OP-2: | Follows evidence-based practices, reaches out to the printed and electronic information sources and follows developments in the field of health. | |
OP-3: | Recognizes Medical Biochemistry-related disciplines and can do interdisciplinary studies; achieve original results by using knowledge that requires expertise in analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating new and complex ideas. | |
OP-4: | Has advanced laboratory knowledge about the laboratory safety, biochemical methods, information technologies, technical equipment and field-specific devices and instruments. | |
OP-5: | Detects a problem, plans a scientific research, carries out his planned work independently or with a team; develops new creative solutions to the problems encountered in the working process. | |
OP-6: | Chooses the correct statistical methods in his studies; applies to his results; evaluates, interprets and reports the results. Performs statistical analysis at a level to evaluate a scientific article. | |
OP-7: | Knows ethical principles, the subjects in research and publication, and the importance of ethics committees for individuals and society; and observes social, scientific and ethical values in the stages of data collection, recording, interpretation and announcement. | |
OP-8: | Evaluates new knowledge in the field of Medical Biochemistry with a systematic approach; develops an innovative, new idea, method, design and/or application, or applies a known idea, method, design and/or application to a different field; researches, comprehends, designs, adapts and applies an original subject. | |
OP-9: | Has high-level skills in using research methods in studies related to his field. | |
OP-10: | Presents current information and developments, in a seminar, on a subject in the field of Medical Biochemistry to groups in the same field. | |
OP-11: | Writes the report of a study that she has done or is a researcher and publishes it in a peer-reviewed journal with national or international impact, and presents it at scientific meetings. | |
OP-12: | Reads, understands, interprets and criticizes articles in the field of health sciences. | |
OP-13: | Knows English at a level that can read, understand and write current developments in health sciences. | |
OP-14: | Conducts scientific clinical and/or descriptive research/presentation/publication on priority issues related to its field and public health. | |
