The aim of the course:
The aim of this course to provide basic information about anesthesia, intensive care and pain.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : perform preanesthesia evaluation and postoperative analgesia.1,4,51,2

Contents of the Course
Course Syllabus General anesthesia history, principles and pharmacology, Acute intoxications and intensive care, Muscle relaxants, Mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy, Premeditation and preoperative evaluation, Basic life support, Advanced life support, Acid base balance and disorders, Monitorisation, sedation and analgesia in intensive care unit, Endotracheal intubations, Postoperative anesthetical complications, Acute and chronic pain, Spinal and epidural anesthesia, Local anesthetics, Acute lung injury, ARDS and intensive care. SIRS, sepsis, severe sepsis and MODS, Airway management, Peripheral nerve blocks.

Multiple choice exam (50%) , oral exam (50%). . Students should receive at least 60 out of 100 points for each exam.
