The aim of the course:
This course aims to teach main characteristics of corporatism, neo-corporatism and social dialogue notions; to compare social dialogue practices in developed and developing countries; and to discuss the structural features of social dialogue and codetermination of labour in Turkey.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Students will learn to analyze the social partners? democratic struggles at the firm-level.; 1,2,9
LO - 2 : To be able to discuss the dynamics of industrial democray at macro (national) level. ; 1,2,9
LO - 3 : Students will learn how to build-up the social dialogue culture; 1,2,9
LO - 4 : To be able to analyze the practices of codetermination of labour in European Union and Turkey comparatively; 1,2,9
LO - 5 : To be able to analyze the practices of social dialogue in European Union and Turkey comparatively.; 1,2,9
LO - 6 : Students will contribute to social peace, which is one of the main aims of social policy, intellectually.; 1,2,9

Contents of the Course
The development of social dialogue from the past to the present, instruments of social dialogue and analysis of country examples within the scope of social dialogue. Examination of social dialogue in the European Union and International Labor Organization. The development of social dialogue in Turkey and the establishment of the Economic and Social Council and evaluation the changes made.
