The aim of the course:
The course aims to provide the students with a general knowledge on basic concepts of law and what is law, to enable them to understand and explain specifically juridical and political events with regard to law in Turkey and in the world.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

LO - 2 : identify the effects of concepts used in law on individuals and state1 - 21
LO - 3 : apply the concepts used in law in legal transections1 - 21
LO - 4 : distinguish the legal rules to be used in solving lawful problems1 - 21

Contents of the Course
Social order and law, extra-legal rules and law, definitions of law, sources of law, genesis and practises of law, sections of law, private law and public law, general principles of Turkish legal system within the framework of the 1982 constitution.
