Introduction to earthquake engineering in geophysics. Accelerometers and acceleration recordings. İmportance of acceleration recordings in earthquake engineering. Amplitude, duration and frequency content parameters of acceleration recordings. Ground motion intensity indices and their calculation from acceleration recordings. Usage of acceleration recordings in engineering purpose. Vibration parameters of buildings determined from acceleration recordings.Geophysical methods used for earthquake engineering problems. |
