The aim of the course:
It is aimed to make students be knowledgable about control methods of communicable diseases, outbreak analysis and surveillance.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : Explains basic epidemiological characteristics of communicable diseases.
PO - 2 : Explains basic epidemiological characteristics, preventive measures and control methods of vaccine preventable infections
PO - 3 : Explains basic epidemiological characteristics, preventive measures and control methods of infections spread by close personal contact
PO - 4 : Explains basic epidemiological characteristics, preventive measures and control methods of sti?s and genital tract infections.
PO - 5 : Explains basic epidemiological characteristics, preventive measures and control methods of infections spread by food and water.
PO - 6 : Explains basic epidemiological characteristics, preventive measures and control methods of infections spread via vectors.
PO - 7 : Explains basic epidemiological characteristics, preventive measures and control methods of zoonoses.
PO - 8 : Describes the steps of outbreak analysis and analyse an outbreak sample.
PO - 9 : Explains basic epidemiological characteristics, preventive measures and control methods of hospital acquired infections.
PO - 10 : Describes the characteristics of the surveillance of communicable diseases.
