The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is; To provide the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies to understand, correctly pronounce, write and use medical terms related to all body systems and organs.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : ...can analyze the structure of medical terms terminologically, based on basic elements such as prefix, suffix and root. 101,
LO - 2 : ...can interpret anatomical, diagnostic, symptomatic and surgical terms related to all body systems and organs within the medical terminology systematic and use them in professional communication in health professions.101,

Contents of the Course
The purpose of Medical Terminology; Medical terms related to human anatomy; Basic definitions and terms related to human structure; Importance of terms; Anatomical terms expressing direction, movement and plane; Saying (Pronunciation); Rules in Turkish pronunciation of terms; Roots; Prefixes; Suffixes, diagnostic suffixes, suffixes indicating application and action, suffixes used to describe symptoms; Anatomical, diagnostic, symptomatic and surgical terms of locomotor, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, nervous, urogenital, endocrine systems and sensory organs; Medical terms related to Anesthesiology, Oncology, Geriatrics and obstetrics; Medical abbreviations.
