The aim of the course:
The course aims to mention what smart homes are ; the ways to improve the quality of life with smart systems; investigate the effetcs of energy efficiency, sustainability and technology on life quality of user (people who lives in a smart home).

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : describe “what is smart home?” know smart systems and energy efficiency
PO - 2 : know ways to improve the quality of life
PO - 3 : know smart systems and energy efficiency

The development of smart homes; effect of demographic trend on smart homes; smart home systems and technologies; ecologic&sustainable houses; Smart home systems; Energy efficiency, insulation, windows and lighthing systems and sensors for smart homes; Design with care: technology, disability and the home; ActiSen: Activity-aware sensor network in smart environments; Smart home applications for disabled and elderly people; design of the smart home based on embedded system
