The aim of the course:
To provide information on the seismic methods and their application for various geological problems.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
Introduction, theory of elasticity, wave equations and its solutions, geometry of seismic waves, seismic reflection method, seismic velocity, synthetic seismograms, data processing; filtering of seismic data, deconvolution, velocity analysis, stacking, migration, refraction methods, geologic interpretation of reflection and refraction data advanced level.
