The aim of the course:
The course aims to have students get acquainted with the basics of composite materials. Particular emphasis will be given on concrete as a composite.

Programme OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : get familiar with composite materials and explain the basics associated with the general concept of composite material.1,91
PO - 2 : explain concrete as a particulate-reinforced composite and its behavior under load.1,51
PO - 3 : identify the basic principles associated with fiber-reinforced composites and their behavior under load.1,51,3
PO - 4 : identify the basics associated with laminar composites and their behavior under load.1,2,51,3
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), PO : Learning Outcome
