The aim of the course:
Modeling the terrain surface in three dimensions and performing analysis.

Contents of the Course
3D analysis in Geographic Information Systems. Using DigitalElevation Model (DEM), DigitalTerrain Model (DTM) andDigitalSurface Model (DSM) in GIS. Data sourcesandtypesfor DEM. İnterpolationandsurfacemodellingproducing DTM. What is TIN data model? Approachesfordigitalterrainmodelling Advantage anddisadvantege of DEM/TIN. 3D surfacevisualization: slope, aspect, visibilityanalysis, 3D spatialmodelling.
