The aim of the course:
The main objectives of this course are to teach use of GPS in the field and processing of the GPS observations.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : design GPS networks.21,3,
PO - 2 : perform GPS measurements using various GPS measurement methods.21,3,
PO - 3 : process GPS data using GPS processing software.81,3,
PO - 4 : transform WGS-84 coordinates to any desired coordinate system.21,3,

Planning GPS observations and surveying with GPS: Pre-survey planning, field reconnaissance and monumentations. GPS networks and logistics. GPS receivers: base, rover, RTK GPS receivers and their features. GPS Softwares: use of Magnet Tools software. Field surveying: static, rapid static and kinematic GPS surveying methods. Processing: process and adjustment of GPS observations. Datum transformations.
