The aim of the course:
The course aims to teach basic mathematical tools and techniques for engineering students. The applications are chosen from student's area of expertise so that theory and applications can be combined to have a meaningful outcome.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
Preview (real numbers, real line, cartesian coordinates, polynomials, rational functions, trigonometric functions and their graphs), limit, continuity, aradeğer teoremi, türev, ortalama değer deoremi, transcentendal functions, application of derivatives, definite and indefinite integrals, rules of integration, applications of definite integrals

 Week 2Arithmetic operations in functions, composite and piecewise functions, polynomial, rational and trigonometric functions.
 Week 3Trigonometric functions, velocity, limit with examples of rate of growth and area, limits at infinity and infinite limits.
 Week 4Continuity, tangent lines and slopes, derivative
 Week 5Rules of differentiation, chain rule, derivative of trigonometric functions,
 Week 6Mean value theorem, increasing and decreasing functions, derivative of functions in implicit form, inverse functions
 Week 7Exponential and logarithmic functons, inverse trigonometric functions,hyperbolic functiions
