The aim of the course:
To better understand the systematics of mosses, liverworts and hornworts, their fossil history, gametophyte and sporophyte structures, their roles in the ecosystem, biodiversity, being pioneer plants in primary succession, their importance in vegetation dynamics, their relationship with vascular plants, and to understand the origin and phylogenetic relationships of Bryophytes.
