The aim of the course:
The aim of the course is, teaching the scientific importance of herbaria for pharmacy and collection of medicinal and poisonous plants and preparing them into a herbarium specimen.
 
Programme OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : Can make accurate identification of plant material used in scientific researches.
PO - 2 : Can prepare herbaria using plant specimens.
PO - 3 : Can identificate herbarium specimens.

Contents of the Course
Herbarium techniques” includes the scientific importance of herbaria for pharmacy and research, and collection of medicinal plants and methods for preparing medicinal plants into herbarium specimens, important herbariums in the world.
