Giving information on the lumber manufacturing methods, standardization and new approaches developed for sawmilling industry. To gain the ability to classify lumber according to their quality and strength properties according to the relevant national and international standards. |

Development of lumber industry from past to present, lumber production quantities and usage areas in the world and in our country, lumber production workflows, defects affecting the quality characteristics of logs used as raw materials, storage and debarking processes of logs, terms and definitions related to timber, sawing methods, Quantitative yield and quality yield and capacity in timber production and the factors affecting them, sawing machines and production processes used in the lumber industry, saw preparation operations and sharpening applications, maintenance and repair, determination of visual quality and resistance classes by determining the technological properties of lumber according to national and international standards. |
