The aim of the course:
The purpose of this course is to equip students with the skills to plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care required by surgical patients during the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative periods. The course aims to ensure that students can maintain patient safety throughout all stages of the surgical process, manage complication risks, and involve the patient and family in the care process.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : The student can assess the care needs of surgical patients during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative periods.6,8,12,134,
LO - 2 : The student can create an individualized care plan for surgical patients, effectively implement this plan, and perform necessary interventions.6,8,12,134,
LO - 3 : The student can take necessary precautions to ensure patient safety at all stages of the surgical process and develop strategies to prevent complications.6,8,12,134,
LO - 4 : The student can recognize surgical complications and carry out preventive and emergency interventions.6,8,12,134,
LO - 5 : The student can establish effective communication with the surgical team, adopt a multidisciplinary approach, and work harmoniously within the team.6,8,12,134,
LO - 6 : The student can inform the patient and family about the surgical process, facilitate active participation in the care process, and provide guidance on post-discharge care needs.6,8,12,134,
