The aim of the course:
The efforts in the Ottoman Empire in terms of education and training and the period of reconstruction of education. Teaching the stages of education from the Ottoman Empire to Turkish republic.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
From the foundation of the Ottoman Empire to the modernization period analysis the education methods of basic education institution Madrasas, Sibyan Schools and Enderun Schools. Modernization, centralization efforts in education and new education institution. Foundation of the Darülfünun and history of education in the Ottoman Empire and the stages of it in term of modernization and result of it.
