In addition, it is to determine what kind of contributions Rome, as a long-lasting state, made to the Mediterranean, Africa, Europe and Anatolia geographies and how it has guided human history in the process extending to the present day. In this context, the main objective of the course is to understand the foundation of Rome, its transition to the republic and the military, economic, religious and cultural background of the Romans in the geographies they ruled. |

The scope of this course is the period between April 21, 753 BC, the traditional founding date of Rome, and 27 BC, when Rome transformed from a republic to an empire. |
