| The aim of this department is to educate mariners (cadet, officer, captain and engineer) for maritime industry. |

| Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
| OP-1: | demonstrate effective written, oral and visual communication skills. |

| OP-2: | demonstrate skills in team building, group dynamics and collaboration. |

| OP-3: | learn STCW 78 as amended |

| OP-4: | use different learning strategies for different situations. |

| OP-5: | understand and practice to the ethical professional standards outlined by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and mariners ethic rules |
