To train qualified health technicians who are equipped with professional knowledge, skills and behavior in accordance with the contemporary conditions of the day in the field of radiology services for use by physicians in both the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. |

Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
OP-1: | The Medical Imaging Techniques program explains the information gained from basic level theoretical and applied courses supported by textbooks, application tools and other resources containing current information in the field. | |
OP-2: | İnforms relevant people and institutions by using her/his basic knowledge and skills on issues related to the field of Medical Imaging Techniques, and conveys her thoughts and solution suggestions to problems in written and verbal form. | |
OP-3: | Using his basic knowledge of medical imaging methods and physics principles, he performs the diagnosis and treatment processes deemed necessary by the physician, independently or accompanied by a physician, by using the relevant tools, devices and techniques in the radiology, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine units within health institutions. | |
OP-4: | Acts in accordance with quality management and processes by being part of the team to solve unforeseen complex problems encountered in applications related to the field of Medical Imaging Techniques. | |
OP-5: | Acts in accordance with social, scientific, cultural and ethical values during the collection, interpretation, application and announcement of the results of data related to the field of Medical Imaging Techniques. | |
OP-6: | Communicates effectively with colleagues, patients, relatives, physicians and other healthcare professionals. | |
OP-7: | Recognizes the institutions and organizations within the health system; Acts in accordance with the laws, regulations and legislation regarding its duties, rights and responsibilities. | |
OP-8: | Successfully uses information and communication technologies along with the computer software required in the field of Medical Imaging Techniques. | |
OP-9: | Distinguishes anatomical structures, knows human physiology and has radiological anatomy knowledge regarding the radiological examinations she/he will perform in the field of medical imaging. | |
OP-10: | She/he has the knowledge and skills to control and maintain the devices and equipment she/he uses in the fields of radiology, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine, or to have them done when necessary (malfunction, periodic medical maintenance, etc.). | |
OP-11: | Knows radiation safety and protection from radiation, protects her/himself, patients and society from radiation with protective measures. | |
OP-12: | Participates in necessary programs, professional in-service training activities and other studies to increase professional knowledge and skills and ensure their development. | |
OP-13: | Uses Turkish effectively and understands a foreign language at a general level, follows information about developments in her/his field at national and international levels and can communicate with colleagues. | |
OP-14: | Knows the medical and technical terminology necessary for the effective use of devices used in the radiology department. | |
OP-15: | Has sufficient awareness about environmental protection, occupational health and safety, public health and healthy living. | |
