The aim of the course:
The main objectives of this course are to provide the student with a clear presentation of the concepts and principles of seas and oceans geological properties. sedimentation and understanding and planning of coastal structure and enginering solution.

Contents of the Course
Definitions, Geological and sedimantological properties of ocean and seas basins. Physical properties of seas and oceans. Oceanographic properties of Mediterranean, Aegean, Marmora and Black sea. Research processes. Ocean and sea concept, pilot charts. Batimetric and geological maps, erosion and river runoff , geochemical processes, geological survey equipments.
