The aim of the course:
Enable the students to gain the ability of weather forecasting at sea, international meteorological communication and accurate observations of weather events in order to achieve safe navigation and fishing.

Contents of the Course
İmportance of meteorology in maritime. The atmosphere, its composition and physical properties, solar radiation. Meteorological elements; weather temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity cloud and precipitation. Global atmospheric circulation, pressure and wind systems, monsoons, local winds. Weather forecasting at sea.
