The aim of the course:
The course aims to provide the students with a general knowledge on the planning of the forest road by GIS application to enable them to prepare forest road network planning and to chose the best alternative road route in view of technical, economical and environmentally road planning.

Programme OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : prepare the database for the forest road planning unit by using GIS application1,3,111,3,6,
PO - 2 : plan the alternative forest road route and its application on digital terrain model.1,2,111,3
PO - 3 : explain technical, economical, environmental relation of alternative road routes and know query methods.1,2,111,3,6,
PO - 4 : demostrate of road routes incomes and applicable in practice according to results of road plans for a definite plan units1,2,111,3,6,
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), PO : Learning Outcome
