The importance of defining rural areas, understanding rural fabric, and approaching settlements from a context-focused perspective will be emphasized. The goal is to access the necessary scientific knowledge to define, classify, and analyze rural settlements and their fabric, and to develop the ability to reflect this typological analysis in planning and design. |

| This course will discuss planning approaches and the design process for rural planning, understand the connection between rural residents and the shaping of their living spaces, and explore the differences in rural planning approaches and potential implementation tools. It will also examine the differences between zoning plans and design guidelines, discussing the advantages of design guidelines and the opportunities provided by involving local communities in the process. Finally, it will include the preparation of a sample rural settlement design project and its design guide. |
