The aim of the course:
To convey the importance of the climate change issue; to integrate climate change mitigation and adaptation policies with urban planning and to foster a climate-sensitive perspective.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
Explaining the causes of climate change, discussing the environmental impacts of urbanisation, explaining urban energy use, the carbon cycle and the urban heat island effect, examining national and international policies on climate change, and evaluating climate change mitigation and adaptation issues.
