The course aims to delve deeply into various organizational theories such as contingency theory, resource dependency theory, organizational ecology, organizational economics, transaction cost theory, and highlight their role in the interaction of organizations with their environments. Students will gain a better understanding of the dynamic nature of organizations and the practical applications of these theories through the comparison of different theories. In this way, they will develop a comprehensive understanding of effective management of organizations and strategic decision-making processes. |

| This course aims to comprehensively cover the various dimensions and applications of organizational theories. It will initially focus on contingency theory, explaining how organizations adapt to environmental factors. Resource dependency theory will be discussed in the context of how organizations secure access to critical resources and manage resource relationships to ensure survival and competitive advantage. Within the framework of organizational economics theory, the economic behaviors, strategic management, and competitive dynamics of organizations will be examined in the context of institutional structures and social impacts. In the context of organizational ecology, the course will discuss how organizations respond to environmental selection processes and their strategies for long-term survival. Transaction cost theory will cover ways organizations minimize operational costs and structure their strategies accordingly. Agency theory will examine the relationship and conflicts of interest between managers and shareholders, along with control mechanisms. By the end of the course, students will be able to compare these theories and understand how organizations can be managed and optimized under different theoretical approaches. |
