The aim of the course:
Understanding impacts of human activities and urban development on natural environment, especially to global climate change, introduce ecologically sensitive planning approach, discuss the mitigation and adoption measure.
 
Programme OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : can use ecology-sensitive planning principles in the planning process. 1 - 41,3,5,
PO - 2 : At different scales of planning, can conduct an environmental impact assessment of the plan within the scope appropriate to the subject.1 - 41,3,5,
PO - 3 : Knows the possibilities and limitations of zoning legislation in terms of ecologically sensitive planning practice 1 - 41,3,5,
PO - 4 : Can prepare an action plan for environmental problems1 - 41,3,5,
PO - 5 : Can discuss their work in group settings and in front of an audience1 - 41,3,5,

Contents of the Course
It includes the discussion of general ecological concepts, environmental philosophy, and sustainability, as well as the examination of ecological planning approaches and examples.
