The aim of the course:
The course emphasizes the legal framework for all kinds and levels of planning activities.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : list types of plan, related basic concepts and managerial units.4 - 56,
PO - 2 : summarize the relations between types of plan and planning units.4 - 56,
PO - 3 : interpret decision of a court in terms of basic concepts on which planning is based.4 - 56,
PO - 4 : analyze connections among planning units, basic planning principles and plan by using figures and graphics.4 - 56,

Contents of the Course
Definition, scope and history of development law; the framework of development law in Turkish legal system; types of planning; the organizations responsible for planning; Development Law (1985), Environmental Law (1983), Law for Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage (1983), Tourism Incentives Law (1982), Coastal Law (1992) and other related laws are discussed in this course. The course reviews problems and possible legal amendments for better implementation and constitutional court decisions.
