The aim of the course:
The aim is to teach students the fundamental physical principles used in the field of machinery; to equip students with the skills to understand and interpret technical systems and develop a scientific approach to professional problems.
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : He/She will be able to perform calculations using fundamental physical quantities, units, and vector operations.1 - 4 - 10 - 111
LO - 2 : He/She will be able to analyze static and dynamic systems and perform force, moment, and equilibrium calculations.1 - 8 - 10 - 111,2
LO - 3 : He/She will be able to interpret the behavior of mechanical systems using the laws of motion.1 - 8 - 10 - 111
LO - 4 : He/She will be able to understand the concepts of work, power, and energy and solve related problems.1 - 8 - 10 - 111
LO - 5 : He/She will be able to perform basic calculations related to heat, temperature, and heat transfer.
LO - 6 : He/She will be able to perform flow rate, fluid flow, and pressure loss calculations using fundamental fluid properties.

Unit Systems, Vectors, Force and Torque, Finding the Center of Gravity, Equilibrium and Equilibrium Conditions, Laws of Motion, Work-Power and Energy, Heat and Temperature, Heat Transfer and Types of Heat Transfer, Basic Fluid Properties, Flow Types and Flow Rate Calculation, Flow in Channel and Pipes, Pressure Loss.
