The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is to contribute to the knowledge of students about the urban development processes of the important port cities, the similarities and differences between the physical, socio-cultural and economic aspects and their spatial reflections, the effects of the ports on the architectural formation in the city and the current architectural trends.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
Relationship between natural structure and urban space; landings in coastal towns (major ports); the effects of ports on the socio-economic and cultural structure of the city; spatial formations and changes in the port (world) cities; case studies on port cities and urban-architectural formations.
